Your upcoming endodontic procedure will be carried out under local anesthesia, allowing you to drive and return to work without any restrictions post-treatment. Our office maintains an open line for consultation to address any concerns that might arise after your treatment.
Please continue with your regular medications for existing health conditions like blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid issues, etc., as prescribed by your doctor. If you have any uncertainties regarding your medications, contact our office before your appointment.
It’s important to have a full meal, either breakfast or lunch, depending on your appointment time, to ensure you’re well-prepared for the procedure.
For patients with medical conditions such as mitral valve prolapse (MVP), heart murmurs, prosthetics (e.g., hip, knee, cardiac), or rheumatic heart disease, who have been advised to undergo antibiotic premedication, ensure you have taken the appropriate antibiotics on the day of your appointment. Should you have any questions regarding this, please reach out to our office well in advance of your appointment.
Additionally, if you’re able to take ibuprofen (Advil) or naproxen sodium (Aleve), it’s recommended to take 2 tablets 2-4 hours before your procedure to help minimize inflammation. This pre-operative step can aid in making your treatment process smoother.
